This classic, 2004 Clipper Europa 40, is reluctantly being brought to the market, after many years of wonderful service! The current owner bought her over 16 years ago and has endless memories and many great stories to tell!
The glowing accounts of the fabulous adventures and enjoyment this vessel has brought, are inspiring, and in many ways, similar to the stories told by other Clipper owners, right throughout Australia.
Clipper 40s are well known for their solid hand laid fibre-glass construction, classic styling, great walk around side decks and their overall sea worthiness and cruising ability.
She has generous cockpit space, with a built-in eutectic freezer, storage lockers on the transom, a central boarding gate on the transom giving easy access to the swim platform and ladder access to the flybridge.
The swim platform has two stainless railings on the aft edge, which carry a bait board and provision for the stainless gas BBQ, which can also carry on the cockpit railings.
There is a huge huge fly bridge deck, with forward helm station, comfortable seating, a folding bimini top with clears on 3 sides. At the aft end of the flybridge is a 200kg electric davit used for lifting the tender to it's cradle. The flybridge railings have canvas "dodger" covers.
Engine power comes from an economical, 'Diamond Series' Cummins diesel of 220hp, driving the propeller shaft through a reliable ZF Marine gearbox.
Auxiliary 240v power, is provided in a number of ways. Firstly, there is Shore Power, which comes through a 15amp lead and plug, when tied up at the dock. Then, from Ship's Power, provided by an 8kw Northern Lights generator. In addition to the generator, there is a 6kw "cruising alternator" driven from the main Cummins engine and an 1800w Inverter, which is connected to the 240v power outlets on board.
Combine that with electric galley appliances, Raymarine and Navman navigation electronics, air conditioning, Bow and Stern Thrusters, a Water Maker and Cummins economy and reliability, you need look no further for your next floating, home away from home!
