Clipper 40s are well known for their solid hand laid fibre-glass construction, classic styling, great walk around side decks and their overall cruising ability.
With bulwark boarding gate on the starboard side, cockpit and swim platform with laid teak, stainless aft railings and a huge fly bridge deck, this Clipper ticks all of the of boxes.
The Sea-Keeper 5 Gyro Motion Stabiliser, is just one of the great additional features fitted to this 2008 Clipper Heritage 40.
The Gyro was professionally fitted, to improve on-board comfort when lying at anchor and also by reducing rolling motion, which can sometimes be experienced, whilst steaming at cruise speed.
The benefits of “at rest” stabilisation on monohull vessels, are well documented and owners’ claim an improvement of what “feels like” 80% to 90% in roll reduction at anchor!
Owners also claim a major roll reduction whilst underway, of 50% or better.
This Clipper 40 has been well maintained throughout her life and presents in great condition.
The single Cummins QSB 230hp diesel, has run only around 1,480hrs and the 7kw Onan Generator has now run around 1,860hrs.
A new AB Alimuna 10ALX Centre Console RIB Tender with 20hp 4 stroke Suzuki was fitted in September 2020, including a 9" Simrad Chart Plotter/Sounder and Fusion Sound System.
