"Melita" has been well loved and cared for, having been previously owned by a prominent, boating industry figure and has had a number of upgrades to improve on-board comfort and user friendliness.
The current owners are simply looking to experience more of this wonderful cruising life, by upgrading to a similar, but larger vessel.
Starting from the top, the Bimini canvas is in great shape having been replaced in recent years and there are breezeway covers for the front and sides.
The vessel has two helm stations, the main cruising station is positioned forward on the flybridge.
It is equipped with hydraulic steering, a Simrad Auto Pilot, Anchor Windlass Control and Side Power Bow Thruster, as well as the usual engine instruments and controls.
The flybridge is a truly great place to be when cruising our magnificent Queensland coastline and this flybridge offers plenty of room with seating for several guests.
Moving below, the cockpit has ample seating and roll down covers all around, for those more inclement days.
Mounted on the transom, are two stainless steel davits, which carry the Tender. It is a 2.7m Alloy Bottom Sirocco Open RIB, with Hypalon tubes and a 3hp, 2 stroke Yamaha Outboard.
The doorway from the cockpit to the saloon area, has a modern screen door fitted to let the breeze in and keep bugs out, if seated inside.
Inside, there is a small lounge and a dining table with seating on both sides. The galley is forward of the dining table and is equiped with a large stainless sink, a gas stove with oven, grill and 2 burner cooktop.
There is plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage and a large upright fridge/freezer by Vitrifrigo.
The lower helm station is positioned opposite the galley, on the starboard side.
At this helm, there is a good array of engine instruments, start/stop key and buttons, engine/gear controls, Side Power bow thruster control and a Simrad GPS Plotter/Sounder screen. There is a barometer, an anchor windlass control, a VHF marine radio and Pioneer sound system, washer/wiper control and various other electrical breakers and fuses.
The engine is a reliable and super economical 4cyl Cummins diesel, producing 85hp. This gives a cruising speed of around 7knots, from a fuel burn of only around 5 to 7 lts/hr.
Accommodation is via a single cabin up forward with a recently upgraded custom made double mattress.
The bathroom has an electric salt water toilet, which flushes via a macerator pump, into a modern polyethylene black water tank, made by Vetus.
This tank has a gauge to advise when it requires emptying and another electric pump for overboard discharge when it's safe to do so.
The bathroom also has a hot/cold fresh water shower, as well as a vanity basin and mirror. The Hot Water System is a 240v unit with a 35lt tank capacity, which also heats from the main engine when it's running.
Opposite the bathroom is a fabulous storage and work area, which has been custom built by past owners.
The current owners have invested time and money into various improvements and upgrades, among them is the electrical system.
The "House Power" is now supplied by 2 x 200amp/hr Lithium Batteries (total 400amp/hrs) (new January 2022) which are kept charged by various ways.
When under way, the main engine's 85amp alternator charges them via a DC/DC Charger, when at anchor they are charged by the 400watt Solar panels and when on Shore Power, they are charged by a 240v/40amp Enerdrive Battery Charger.
The new Start Batteries that were fitted on 26th January 2022 (2 x 760cca/100amp/hr AGM) also drive the bow thruster.
These batteries are charged by the same "smart charge" system from main engine, Solar Power and Shore Power.
